Fresh Alabaster is burried deep.

Mining Alabaster requires a lot of hard work. There is a lot of digging, prying and carrying to the truck. Of coarse the good colors are the highest up the hill.

We get the pry bar in the cracks and pry the Alabaster out piece by piece.

Then it's downhill about 100 feet to the truck . There is a great view from up here.

This is the area we call the badlands. This area is full of gray and pink Alabaster.
